We are a friendly group in the beautiful Hawkesbury district of New South Wales. Whether you are experienced or a beginner you are welcome to come and join us.

Our informal meetings are held each Thursday at the North Richmond Community Centre, William St., North Richmond from 12 noon to 3 pm.

  • We meet 10am – 3pm on the 2nd & 4th Thursday in the month. On the 2nd Thursday the weavers have a meeting before the main club meeting and on the 4th Thursday there is usually a workshop to learn new skills  (anyone not involved can still come early to work on their own projects).
  • The weaving group meets on Tuesday evening from 6 – 9 pm. New members are welcome.

Group Activities

Our group shares skills and information on a variety of crafts including spinning, weaving, dyeing, felting, knitting and crochet. Members use natural fibres such as wool, alpaca, mohair, cotton, silk etc and also experiment with manufactured and synthetic fibres (bamboo, soy, tencel etc), either in natural colours or hand dyed.

The group demonstrates its skills at many local events including participation at the annual Hawkesbury show and is affiliated with The Hand Weavers and Spinners Guild of NSW Inc.
