We are a friendly group in the beautiful Hawkesbury district of New South Wales. Whether you are experienced or a beginner you are welcome to come and join us.
Our informal meetings are held each Thursday at the North Richmond Community Centre, William St., North Richmond. Regular workshops are held where members have the opportunity to learn new skills.
- We meet on Thursdays 12 noon- 3pm (subject to Covid restrictions).
- The weaving group meets on Tuesday evening from 6.30 – 9 pm.
Our group shares skills and information on a variety of crafts including spinning, weaving, dyeing, felting, knitting and crochet. Members use natural fibres such as wool, alpaca, mohair, cotton, silk etc and also experiment with manufactured and synthetic fibres (bamboo, soy, tencel etc), either in natural colours or hand dyed.
The group demonstrates its skills at many local events including participation at the annual Hawkesbury show and is affiliated with The Hand Weavers and Spinners Guild of NSW Inc.
